Fused glass is an art form where separate pieces of compatible glass are joined together by heating them in a kiln.
Please expect a few weeks of turnaround time for your finished piece. When your work is ready for pickup, you will receive an email from the Programs Department.

Mini-Makers! Pinch Pot Jingle Bells

Along with your child, create your own set of pinch pot jingle bells from clay in this family workshop. You’ll learn basic pinch pot and handbuilding techniques, add festive textures and decorations, and make a unique holiday ornament that rings with seasonal charm. Note: An adult must participate in the workshop. The tuition fee covers one individual, and you must register for each adult and child attending.

Class will be held in the Ceramics Auxiliary Classroom 301, on the 3rd floor of GoggleWorks.
Jump into the world of jewelry design with silver precious metal clay! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to shape, texture, mold, and refine precious metal clay to create your own original jewelry pieces. Once your designs are complete, you’ll learn how to fire the pieces, transforming the clay into solid silver. You’ll then finish and polish your jewelry and take your completed pieces home with you at the end of class. No previous jewelry-making experience is necessary—just bring your creativity! A materials fee is due at registration. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Join us for a creative night on the wheel and transform a ball of clay into a unique piece of pottery handcrafted by you! Learn the basics of throwing on the wheel while you craft your work, then choose a glaze from our ceramic studio’s selection.

Create a festive Christmas tree basket, a flat wall basket woven on a wooden D-handle and designed to bring handmade holiday charm to your home. A Christmas tree is woven into the front using dyed reed and finished with decorative buttons, making this project a delightful seasonal decoration or gift.
In this creative workshop, you’ll design and make your own custom ceramic rib tools for shaping clay on the pottery wheel. You’ll work in the woodshop to carve your designs from durable materials, creating tools that match your unique throwing style. Come with your ideas ready, and leave with personalized tools made by you! Closed-toe shoes required.

Learn about glassblowing as you create an original beverage glass. Once cooled, pick up your glass at Thorn Alley Kitchen where the second half of the workshop will conclude with a demonstration and wine tasting with our bartender 1pm Sunday, Dec. 13. Ages 21 and over only.
