Student Fellowships at GoggleWorks 2026

Invitational summer programs offered to a total of 6 students from 19 high school in Berks County.

Student Fellowships at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts are designed for area high school students interested in pursuing higher education and/or professional careers in the visual or musical arts.

The Summer Student Fellowship Program is a 1 on 1 pairing of students and mentors that are paired for 8-weeks over the summer; the deadline for recommendations is Monday, April 20, 2026. Mentors are selected from professional artist-instructors working at GoggleWorks. With mentor guidance—including studio instruction, project guidance, and material research—each Fellow will develop their artistic skills and working knowledge of processes and materials within the medium/art of their choice at no cost to them or their family. Students will work toward creating art pieces for an end-of-summer exhibition.

What does the Student Fellowship include?

  • 20 hours of 1:1 mentorship
  • Shared studio space, accessible from 9am-9pm daily
  • Access to a communal studio of focus (ceramics, hot glass, warm glass, metalsmithing, photography, printmaking, digital art, or drawing/painting)
  • 1 complimentary summer course/workshop
  • Bi-weekly check-ins, group and individual critiques, professional development
  • Group Evaluation with Gallery Manager
  • Culminating exhibition and reception
