Intro to Stained Glass

Learn the fundamentals of stained glass assembly using lead and solder. Gain hands-on experience in design, shaping, foiling, and soldering as you make your own small stained glass panel to take home at the end of class.Closed-toe shoes required.
Learn the basics of bead making and create your very own wine stopper! This is a great introduction to learning to work with the material on the torch. Wear closed-toe shoes, natural fabrics (like cotton), and tie back long hair in the studio.
Welding isn’t as intimidating as you might think! Learn the basic principles of MIG welding, a process in which an electric arc forms between a wire electrode and metal, causing them to melt and join together. At the conclusion of the workshop, leave with a miniature metal sculpture.
Flame-resistant clothing, long pants, and heavy closed-toe shoes are required. Class will be held in the Welding Studio, Building 4.

Give your teen the opportunity to experience art on a deeper level in these week-long intensives. Camps run in one-week sessions, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 4pm. All camps take place on-site at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. Lunch will be provided for campers. Campers are also welcome to bring a packed lunch, if preferred. Parents/guardians are responsible for drop-off and pick-up. Elevate your woodturning skills to the next level as we focus on the art of crafting a lidded box. Together, we’ll take a deep dive into advanced techniques and intricate designs, culminating in the creation of a beautiful and functional lidded box. A materials fee is due at registration. Closed-toe shoes required.
Explore basic flameworking techniques as you’ll use color and shaping to create a unique marble! This is a great introduction to learning to work with the material on the torch. Wear closed-toe shoes, natural fabrics (like cotton), and tie back long hair in the studio.
Starting with a simple square blank of hardwood, learn the fundamentals of woodturning, including the safe use of the lathe, turning gouges, and lathe tools. Leave with a beautiful French rolling pin and basic skills which can be applied to a wide range of future turning projects. Great for both beginners and experienced artists. A materials fee is due at registration. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Take your fusing experience to the next level by working thicker pieces and dancing across the line of control and movement. Projects include pot melts, color bars, and on edge assembly with an emphasis on various cold working applications. Closed-toe shoes required. Prerequisite: Intro to Fusing or equivalent experience.
