Learn the fundamentals of one of the oldest photographic processes – wet plate collodion. In this full-day intensive, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process, from pouring collodion to exposing, and developing your own plate, using both modern and antique 4Ć5 cameras. You’ll gain a deep, practical understanding of the materials and common challenges of the process while creating your own unique images. Whether you’re trying wet plate for the first time or looking to refine your technique, this workshop is designed for anyone interested in exploring alternative processes. All materials are provided. We recommend bringing a notebook, wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy, and packing lunch/snacks for the day.
