Explore the art of welding with found objects in this one-day workshop. Start the class with a visit to a local scrap yard where you’ll learn how to identify weldable metals for your project. After a lunch break, you’ll learn how to use a MIG welder and hand tools to create your own found object sculpture. Be prepared to walk in an industrial setting; gloves and boots/work shoes are highly advised. Prerequisite: Welding Basics or equivalent experience.

Combine natural edge slabs of wood and an epoxy/resin pour to join them, resulting in a piece that looks to have a river running through it. Learn the basics of this process in the small scale to create a charcuterie board. Learn the process, from slab prep to making the mold for the resin pour, then come back the following week after the resin cures to finish sanding and shaping.
