Working with hollow tubing, you will begin to garner the necessary skills to heat, turn, and blow borosilicate glass. The end goal is a functional form. Wear natural fabrics (cotton not polyester) and tie back long hair while working in the studio.

During this Maker Date, our ceramic instructor will walk you through the basics of working on the potterโs wheel. Create a unique piece of pottery, then choose a glaze from our ceramic studioโs selection. Tuition fee covers one individual; you must register each person attending. Sip some freshly steeped tea and awaken the magic of healing through tea blending and ceramics. In this workshop, you will create a slab built ceramic iced tea tumbler. Then learn how to blend your own tea to take home and enjoy. The healing tea blend will be created using GoggleWorks’ grown and dried herbs.
Explore the fun, hands-on world of gel plate printing in this mixed media course! You’ll learn how to make unique monoprints by layering paint, textures, stencils, and collage elements. We’ll use found papers, handmade textures, and personal images to create expressive prints. By the end, you’ll have a collection of original artwork and the skills to keep creating on your own. Some materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own laser copies, old newspapers, or glossy magazines for image transfers.

Welding isnโt as intimidating as you might think! Learn the basic principles of MIG welding, a process in which an electric arc forms between a wire electrode and metal, causing them to melt and join together. At the conclusion of the workshop, leave with a miniature metal sculpture.
Flame-resistant clothing, long pants, and heavy closed-toe shoe are required.
