Learn how to make unique colorful photographic prints using sunlight and light sensitive paper in this fun, hands-on family workshop for kids and parents! Explore light, color, and creativity together while making your own-one-of-a-kind artwork. Note: An adult must participate in the workshop. Along with your child, learn to create and use an indigo bath to add color and pattern to cloth in this family workshop. Held in GoggleWorks’ Gardens at Lauer’s Park, we will explore the simplicity and complexity of itajime shibori, which uses household objects and clamps to create designs. Leave with a collection of samples as well as one finished piece suitable for wearing or gifting. No previous experience is needed. Be dressed to work with dyes that stain; class will be outside, weather permitting. Note: An adult must participate in the workshop.
