Learn the fundamentals of welding in this workshop designed for homeschooled students ages 8-13. Discover how electricity melts wire and metal to join them permanently. Learn about the proper tools, protective gear, and workspace safety rules of the welding studio. Work directly with our instructor to safely master the art of welding. Then build and take home your own custom miniature metal sculpture! Parents are welcome to attend.
Flame-resistant clothing, long pants, and heavy closed-toe shoes are required. Class will be held in the Welding Studio, Building 4.
In this family ceramics workshop, you and your child will create your own ceramic garden flower mounted on a wooden dowel. You’ll learn basic handbuilding techniques, add your own creative textures and designs, and make a unique piece of garden art to brighten your outdoor space. Note: An adult must participate in the workshop. The tuition fee covers one individual, and you must register for each adult and child attending.

Discover the medium of charcoal in this workshop designed for homeschooled students ages 10-13. Join the journey by using a variety of types of paper and learn the fundamentals of drawing with charcoal as we experiment with this classic medium. By focusing on drawing creatures, critters, and fauna, we will bring our artistic creations to life!
Let us fuel your child’s imagination! Your creative kid will learn to work with clay, weave clay designs, and decorate a surface. We’ll handle the creative chaos – we keep the mess, you keep the masterpieces. Students must be able to follow instructions and ask questions in order to create safely and complete their project. Join us along with your kids as we explore sewing. Share a sewing machine and a unique experience as you and your child learn how to craft colorful mismatched throw pillows.
