Introduce the family to the art of glassblowing through this workshop designed just for beginners. Learn the process of blowing and sculpting hot glass into a fun item for your home. Note: An adult must participate in the workshop. The tuition fee covers one individual, and you must register for each adult and child attending.

Join us for a unique family ceramics workshop where both your and your child will create your own handmade bird whistle from clay. Learn basic handbuilding techniques, personalize your design with creative details, and take home your very own ceramic whistle inspired by birdsong. Note: An adult must participate in the workshop. The tuition fee covers one individual, and you must register for each adult and child attending.
Please wear clothes you donāt mind getting dirty.
Turnaround time for ceramics can be a fewĀ weeks. Once the pieces are ready forĀ pick up, youāll receive an email from ourĀ Programs team letting you know.
Class will be held in the Ceramics Auxiliary Classroom 301, on the 3rd floor of GoggleWorks.Ā

Together with your child, you will design and decorate personalized Grandparents’ Day cards using colorful art supplies, sweet messages, and special keepsake touches to show your love. Welding isn’t as intimidating as you might think! Learn the basic principles of MIG welding, a process in which an electric arc forms between a wire electrode and metal, causing them to melt and join together. At the conclusion of the workshop, leave with a miniature metal sculpture.
Flame-resistant clothing, long pants, and heavy closed-toe shoes are required. Class will be held in theĀ Welding Studio, Building 4.

Create a modern color ladder suncatcher as you learn the fundamentals of traditional leaded stained glass. You’ll be introduced to the classic lead came technique used to construct large-scale stained glass panels, along with soldering and patina methods to give your piece a polished finish. This clean geometric design is a great introduction to the precision and craftsmanship of traditional lead work. Closed-toe shoesĀ required.
Join in with your kids as we explore sewing. Share a sewing machine and a unique experience as you and your child learn how to construct a tote bag! Pre-cut fabric patterns will be provided as well as one sewing machine per parent and child. Instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish.Note: An adult must participate in the workshop. Learn how to collaboratively create an adventure with a team! From character creation and asset design to story arcs and the final boss, this class will guide you through the world of Tabletop Role-Playing Games. You’ll also have the chance to illustrate your character – bringing them to life visually with their unique look, gear, and personality.
Shared art materials will be provided in the studio for most classes. Personal supplies can be purchased at ourĀ Art Supply Store, located on the first floor of GoggleWorks.
Give new life to your favorite jeans, T-shirts, and other light-colored cotton clothing with the art of shibori, a Japanese dyeing technique that creates beautiful one-of-a-kind patterns. You’ll explore wrapping, binding, and stitching methods, then use an indigo dye bath to transform your garments into wearable works of art. No experience is needed – bring a gently worn cotton item to upcycle, or experiment with fabric and dish towels provided for class. Be sure to wear clothes that can handle a few dye splashes during the second session!
Ready to start your home compost journey? Join us to learn how to start, maintain, mix, and sift compost piles or bins. Discover how to compost in small spaces with a garden or no garden at all! Learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls, and more in this exciting introduction to the fundamentals of working on a potter’s wheel. You will be guided through the process of throwing, shaping, and trimming your pieces. Express your creative voice through basic surface decoration and glazing techniques. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
