Let us fuel your child’s imagination! Your creative kid will learn how to work on color patterns while creating a fun and personalized piece of jewelry, such as a necklace or bracelet. We’ll handle the creative chaos – we keep the mess, you keep the masterpiece. Students must be able to follow instructions and ask questions in order to create safely and complete their project.
Explore the magic of camera-less photography through lumen prints! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create dreamy, experimental images using photographic paper, natural light, and found objects (please bring any objects with interesting shapes you’d like to print). We’ll cover the basics of the process, exposure techniques, and how to develop unique organic compositions full of unexpected textures and tones.
Class will be held in the Darkroom, Studio 233, on the 2nd floor in GoggleWorks.Ā
Learn how to cut, shape, and polish any stone of your choice in our studio, or bring some of your own stone to work on! Discover what it takes to turn a rough stone into a finished, custom-cut tree gem!
Acceptable stones: pectolite, calcite, fluorite, orthoclase, and quartz. No street rocks or precious gems. Instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Welding isn’t as intimidating as you might think! Learn the basic principles of MIG welding, a process in which an electric arc forms between a wire electrode and metal, causing them to melt and join together. At the conclusion of the workshop, leave with a miniature metal sculpture.Ā
Flame-resistant clothing, long pants, and heavy closed-toe shoes are required. Class will be held in theĀ Welding Studio, Building 4.
