Jump into the world of jewelry design with bronze precious metal clay! In this class you’ll learn to use molding tools and basic forming techniques to create a truly original piece. Take your fusing experience to the next level by working thicker pieces and dancing across the line of control and movement. Projects include pot melts, color bars, and on edge assembly with an emphasis on various cold working applications. Prerequisite: Intro to Fusing or equivalent experience.
There are hundreds of documented embroidery stitches, and in this class, we will take the time to explore some of the lesser known stitches. While these stitches are not difficult, some experience with needle and thread is recommended. We will explore the use of non-traditional materials in embroidery and move beyond the basics to embellish items you already have or expertly mend well-loved pieces. We will also look at the work of contemporary embroidery artists and other resources to inspire your work.
