Learn about indigo and create a series of stitched samples to create patterns that echo the beauty of nature. We will explore mokume, ori-nui and variations, and karamatsu shibori. If you participated in a previous shibori workshop, those samples can be brought back and overdyed in indigo. Despite the stunning detail of these patterns, each relies on the simplest of stitches, so no previous needlework experience is required. Leave with a collection of samples as well as one finished piece suitable for wearing or gifting. We will discuss how these pieces can be used as the basis for other projects. Be dressed to get blue!
