Learn how to incorporate detailed images into your stained glass projects using a range of techniques in this five-day intensive with visiting artist Joseph Cavalieri. The class covers cutting glass, airbrushing, pen-and-ink drawing, sandblasting, glass painting, and silk-screen printing with images and patterned silk-screens Joseph will bring to class. No painting experience is required—we’ll be tracing images. Enamels are applied to the glass surface and then kiln-fired for a permanent finish. You’ll assemble your final work using the copper foil method and solder it into a finished stained glass panel up to 12″ x 12″, along with additional sample pieces. This class is great for beginners and for those with stained glass experience looking to expand their skills and explore new techniques. A lighting and framing system will be demonstrated by Joseph, along with art residencies and marketing for artists lectures.
Note: There will be no class no Oct. 12.
