Discover the basics of utilizing your digital camera, with an emphasis on manual shooting. Using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, our instructor will introduce you to image composition and basic lighting and post-production techniques. Learn how to talk about photography, capture well-crafted images, and leave with a digital portfolio of photos to show what you learned along the way. Please bring your own DSLR digital camera and flash drive to class. Instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Let’s highlight the art of street photography! In this introductory class, we’ll journey through the history of photography and learn the intricacies of using an analog camera to achieve the perfect shot. You’ll learn how to create dynamic compositions and develop your own negatives, transforming your captured moments into tangible art. Instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Split over the course of three sessions, learn the basics of shooting film, developing your film, and printing images from your negatives, all with a 35mm film camera. This is a great workshop to get a taste of using film and understanding darkroom basics. A 35mm film camera will be provided. You may be required to bring paper.
Split over the course of three sessions, learn the basics of printing images from your negatives, and experiment with multiple exposure in the darkroom. Focused on using enlargers, this class is developed for those who already have black and white negatives developed. We will not be doing photography or developing negatives, but instead spending the entire class time in the darkroom using enlargers. You may be required to bring paper, and are highly encouraged to bring your own black and white negatives to enlarge.
Sort through a collection of pressed plants and provided designs to create striking works of art. Together we’ll learn the process of using non-toxic UV reactive dyes, from exposure to washing, while they share tips for composition and color choice along the way. Leave with your own cyanotype print T-shirt to add to your wardrobe! Instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish.
