In this workshop, we’ll explore an experimental twist on tie-dye using SolarFast, a light sensitive dye. You’ll learn how to fold, bind, and expose fabric to sunlight to create one-of-a-kind patterns that blend traditional tie-dye with photographic printing techniques. Instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Be introduced to the magic of analog photography! Using a GoggleWorks’ film camera, you’ll learn the fundamentals of shooting, developing, and printing in the darkroom. We’ll cover how to use the camera, process black & white film, and print using enlargers. Please bring your own photo paper; all other materials will be provided.

Learn how to make beautiful cyan prints using the classic cyanotype process while you enjoy beer, wine, and lite fare. Together, you will practice coating paper, exposing images, and developing prints, experimenting with textures, shapes, and found objects to create unique artworks.

Discover the basics of utilizing your digital camera. Using Adobe Lightroom and Procreate, you’ll learn to work with image composition, basic lighting, and post-production techniques. You’ll learn to capture well-crafted images, and leave with a digital portfolio of photos to show what you learned along the way, as well as a print of your favorite photo. Please bring your own DSLR digital camera and SD card to class. Instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Discover the experimental process of Lumen Printing, a silver gelatin based technique that uses sunlight to create one-of-a-kind, camera-less photographs. Place objects onto black & white photographic paper and watch as unique colors and compositions emerge, shaped by paper type, exposure, and organic materials. Get hands-on with alternative, unpredictable image-making!
