In this advanced wheel throwing class, you’ll focus on creating lidded vessels and learning how to design well-fitting lids that complement your forms. You’ll take part in a group cone 10 reduction firing, gaining experience with high-fire atmospheric effects to enhance your finished pieces. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
A monoprint is a unique way to embellish your ceramics by transferring your own image onto the clay surface. The process involves painting layers of slips or underglazes on newsprint before placing the paper onto a wet slab of clay. Using this technique, you will create a set of four coasters.
