Come play with clay in this family workshop and learn how to make a pinch pot that you will transform into the creature of your choice along with your child! Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Note: An adult must participate in the workshop. The tuition fee covers one individual, and you must register for each adult and child attending.
In this creative workshop, you’ll design and make your own custom ceramic rib tools for shaping clay on the pottery wheel. You’ll work in the woodshop to carve your designs from durable materials, creating tools that match your unique throwing style. Come with your ideas ready, and leave with personalized tools made by you! Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Using beginner level skills, learn how to handbuild coils and slabs of clay and transform them into a woven basket. Valentine’s Day Ceramics Handbuilding Maker Date: “Be Mine” Trinket Trays

Celebrate Valentine’s Day by designing your own ceramic trinket trays inspired by the iconic “Be Mine” candies. This workshop will guide you through the process of slab building personalized trays perfect for keeping your small treasures or gifting to a loved one. Join us after class from 4-6pm, where you will feast on a catered spread, enjoy beverages and chocolate covered strawberries, and be enveloped by the tunes of a live musician. Using templates and handbuilding techniques, create your own ceramic beer stein perfect for your favorite tall beverage. You will learn how to create slabs of clay by following a template and incorporate textures to the surfaces to make this interesting functional object! Once fired, pick up your stein at Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub where the second half of the workshop will conclude with a demonstration and tasting with their brew experts 6pm Wednesday, March 11. Ages 21 and over only.
