Build confidence in your technical skills and the ability to look at art critically in this one-week intensive covering the fundamentals of drawing. Using a variety of materials, learn elements of line, value, shape, form, and texture. Experiment with gesture drawing, contour lines, negative space, shading, and the intricacies of light, one point and two point perspective applied to interior spaces, urban spaces, and still life drawing. Please bring a packed lunch.

Make a beautiful and functional market basket, perfect for trips to the farmers market or harvesting from the garden. You will weave with flat and flat oval reed and finish your basket with an oak D-handle and dyed overlays for a classic look.
Create your own beautiful beaded bracelet using a variety of beading techniques. Together we’ll explore traditional stringing methods, including how to knot between beads, as well as wire-wrapping techniques to connect beads together for a custom design. Join us for a creative night on the wheel and transform a ball of clay into a unique piece of pottery handcrafted by you! Learn the basics of throwing on the wheel while you craft your work, then choose a glaze from our ceramic studio’s selection.

This summer, teens can dive deep into their creativity in camps at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, featuring specialized focuses on ceramics, 3D art, and 2D art. Camps run in one-week sessions, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 4pm. All camps take place on-site at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. Lunch will be provided for campers. Campers are also welcome to bring a packed lunch, if preferred. Parents/guardians are responsible for drop-off and pick-up.
