You’ll get to know how alcohol markers work, how to control their unique properties, and how to combine them with other tools to enhance your artwork. By the end of the day, you’ll put your new skills to use by creating a small mixed-media illustration to take home.
Shared art materials will be provided in the studio for most classes. Personal supplies can be purchased at our Art Supply Store, located on the first floor of GoggleWorks.

Join us in the printmaking studio and learn to create a beautifully unique greeting card with a collection of styrofoam stamps that you will design and carve yourself, and then create a custom printed patterned collage of your own creation! After a quick heat drying, you will stamp a premade phrase over top of your creation, and leave with a colorful handmade card unlike any other!

Ditch the standard shutter and step into a world where time stands still. In this hands-on workshop during GoggleWorks’ Iron Pour + Fire Arts Festival, you will play with long exposure techniques and use photography in ways that aren’t possible at standard or high shutter speeds. Using a moving light source, like a flashlight, glow stick, or laser light pens, we’ll “paint” light onto a dark scene and create unique effects on your photographs.

Light up your space with a custom flame votive holder made by you in our fused glass studio. Learn the essentials of glass cutting and the fusing process as our instructor walks you through assembly techniques and creative ways to play with light and heat.
Wear closed-toe shoes while working in the studio. Completed work will be ready within 3 weeks following the event. You will receive an email when your work is ready for pick up. Workshop will be held in our fused glass studio in Building 6.

Ready to start your home compost journey? Join us to learn how to start, maintain, mix, and sift compost piles or bins. Discover how to compost in small spaces with a garden or no garden at all! You will leave with your very own countertop composting bin.

Be introduced to the magic of analog photography! Using a GoggleWorks’ film camera, you’ll learn the fundamentals of shooting, developing, and printing in the darkroom. We’ll cover how to use the camera, process black & white film, and print using enlargers. Please bring your own photo paper (Ilford B&W); all other materials will be provided.
Class will be held in the Darkroom, Studio 233, on the 2nd floor in GoggleWorks.
