Learn to capture dynamic light, shadow, and color using water-based media such as watercolor and gouache (opaque watercolor) to create visually compelling paintings. Note: There is no class Nov. 5.
Learn the basics of watercolor painting with emphasis on letting the water and materials work for you. Other topics covered include mixing colors on and off the paper, how to paint a wash/glaze, wet on wet technique, dry brush technique, and the of use various materials and tools to make unique paintings. Along with the basics, some experimental techniques will be explored. Note: there will be no class on November 13th.
Join us for a creative night with clay! Our ceramic instructor will walk you through the basics of wheel throwing. Create a unique piece of pottery, then choose a glaze from our ceramic studio’s selection.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Felting is simple, creative, and cathartic work. You will explore basic wet felting techniques in our first session as well as finishing techniques and simple hand stitching in our second session, all while crafting a small wool pouch. Skills learned can easily be applied to future felting projects.
