The second class will cover silversmithing and mounting that stone in a silver frame, essential for adding it to a ring or necklace. This is a truly unique and diverse experience!
Explore the art of welding with found objects in this one-day workshop. Start the class with a visit to a local scrap yard where you’ll learn how to identify weldable metals for your project. After a lunch break, you’ll learn how to use a MIG welder and hand tools to create your own found object sculpture. Be prepared to walk in an industrial setting; gloves and boots/work shoes are highly advised. Prerequisite: Welding Basics or equivalent experience

This project-based workshop is an ideal introduction to principles of flat and fused glass. You will focus on glass shapes that come together to create a colorful fused trivet. Techniques such as scoring, breaking, and grinding glass, as well as concepts of heat, will be covered. Closed-toe shoes are required.
