Learn the basics of watercolor painting with emphasis on letting the water and materials work for you. Other topics covered include mixing colors on and off the paper, how to paint a wash/glaze, wet on wet technique, dry brush technique, and the of use various materials and tools to make unique paintings. Along with the basics, some experimental techniques will be explored.
Shared art materials will be provided in the studio for most classes. Personal supplies can be purchased at our Art Supply Store, located on the first floor of GoggleWorks.
This beginner-friendly class is perfect for those new to embroidery or looking for a refresher. Well create a small fabric book filled with simple stitches such as running, back, blanket, and chain. Not only will it be cute, it will serve as a great reference for future projects!

Learn the art of staying well in winter with traditional herbal medicine: tincture making and herbal tea blending. Together, we’ll select and prepare herbs for tincturing and teas. We will learn how to incorporate our handcrafted tinctures into daily wellness and proper usage and storage. This immersive experience in herbal alchemy and time-tested medicine-making is perfect for beginners and herbal enthusiasts alike! 21+ only.
Make a one-of-a-kind wooden spoon or cooking utensil using traditional hand tools. Learn to orient your piece of wood for strength and efficient carving while using a variety of techniques and grips to remove material. Great for both beginners and experienced artists. A materials fee is due at registration. Closed-toe shoes required.
Have you worked in glassblowing before? Refine your glassblowing skills by developing personal goals while working independently, or with a partner, on a self-directed project. Your instructor will help you problem solve and confront the challenges of intermediate/advanced glass work. Closed-toe shoes, hair tie are required. Please bring your own water bottle!

Take your fusing experience to the next level by working thicker pieces and dancing across the line of control and movement. Projects include pot melts, color bars, and on edge assembly with an emphasis on various cold working applications. Prerequisite: Intro to Fusing or equivalent experience.
Using templates and handbuilding techniques, create your own ceramic beer stein perfect for your favorite tall beverage. You will learn how to create slabs of clay by following a template and incorporate textures to the surfaces to make this interesting functional object! Once fired, pick up your stein at Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub where the second half of the workshop will conclude with a demonstration and tasting with their brew experts 6pm Wednesday, March 11.
