Introduce the family to the art of glassblowing through this family workshop designed just for you and your child. Learn the process of blowing and sculpting hot glass into a fun item for your home. Learn essential woodworking skills while creating cozy homes for your feathered garden friends in this family workshop. You and your child will gain practical knowledge in woodworking techniques and birdhouse design, while making a positive impact on our local environment and fostering a deeper connection with nature. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Make a splash into the world of color sticks and art crayons, as you explore more ways to be creative with this simple tool than you even thought imaginable. ArtCycle is a community-driven recycling project where the community creates art on trash bins to promote recycling in Reading parks. This initiative fosters creativity, environmental awareness, and mental wellness through collaborative art projects and community engagement. You will explore the art of upcycling, transforming recycled materials into beautiful and functional pieces. This hands-on program will foster creativity, sustainability, and a sense of community as we learn to see potential in what we often discard. Each week will focus on different techniques and projects, encouraging you to think outside the box and embrace an eco-friendly mindset.
Enroll your homeschooled child in this class designed to get children exploring fibers! We will work with a wide variety of materials using an array of techniques, including felting and embroidery.
