What do you love about the natural world? What are your memories, hopes, and fears about it?
Join us to create art that explores these questions in any way meaningful to youโpersonal or political, abstract or representational. Workshops will be held from 10am-5pm, with a break from 1-2pm for lunch.
On Saturday, Nov. 15, we will use drawing, painting, and/or collage as our means of exploration with visiting artist Mindy Flexer.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, will explore our thoughts and feelings about the world through textiles with both GoggleWorks teaching artist Sara Miller and visiting artist Mindy Flexer. Using slow, meditative fiber techniques like running stitch, raw edge applique, or embroidery, participants will create a piece in a wooden hoopโor a quilt square to stand alone or join a larger work.
No experience neededโeveryone is welcome at one or both workshops. We look forward to creating together and sharing each personโs unique contributions.
