Jump into the world of jewelry design with silver precious metal clay! In this class you’ll learn to use molding tools and basic forming techniques to create a truly original piece. Once the design is complete, we’ll lay your project in one of our kilns to harden it into a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry!
Grow your own crops starting from seed! This workshop focuses specifically on the process of going from seed to seedling and ending with being ready to transplant. Seed starting is an essential gardening skill in order to grow a greater variety of crops, save money, and experience more joy in the garden. You will learn how to start seeds during the winter months using different methods and growing areas such as an indoor windowsill, grow light, or greenhouse method. This workshop is suitable for anyone looking to start seeds for small to mid-size home gardens, container gardeners, and/or indoor gardens.
Please bring a notebook, pencil, and questions about seed starting to class.
Learn the basics of woodturning while transforming raw pieces of wood into functional and beautiful turned bowls. Working on wood lathes, you will learn safe and efficient woodturning techniques along with proper turning tool usage. This class is for all levels and designed to develop basic wood turning skills. A materials fee is due at registration. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Learn about glassblowing as you create an original beer tumbler. Once cooled, pick up your glass at Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub where the second half of the workshop will conclude with a demonstration and tasting with their brew experts 5pm Saturday, March 21.Ages 21 and over only. Make a beautiful piece of jewelry from start to finish. The first class will explore lapidary: cutting, forming, and polishing raw rock into a shape of your choosing. The second class will cover silversmithing and mounting that stone in a silver frame, essential for adding it to a ring or necklace. This is a truly unique and diverse experience!

This workshop will teach the basics of drawing the human figure from a live model. Through several guided drawing exercises, instructor Lee Shannon will introduce methods for drawing a human quickly and accurately. Note: This class will involve working with a live nude model. Students must be 18+.
Shared art materials will be provided in the studio for most classes. Personal supplies can be purchased at our Art Supply Store, located on the first floor of GoggleWorks.
