Discover what it takes to turn a rough stone into a finished, custom-cut gem for your jewelry designs! Learn the basic steps of loop in loop chain making and try your hand at making a small segment of chain. Together, we’ll form and bend links into a 2-3 inch chain to be turned into a simple set of dangly earrings. A materials fee is due at registration.
Make a beautiful piece of jewelry from start to finish. The first class will explore lapidary: cutting, forming, and polishing raw rock into a shape of your choosing. The second class will cover silversmithing and mounting that stone in a silver frame, essential for adding it to a ring or necklace. This is a truly unique and diverse experience! During this beginner-friendly Maker Date, you and a plus one will enjoy beer, wine, and lite fare while designing and creating a personalized set of sterling silver stacking rings. Through hands-on guidance in basic metalsmithing techniques, including measuring, cutting, forming, soldering, and finishing silver wire, you will craft a personalized stack of rings to take home. Tuition fee covers one individual; you must register each person attending.

Create your own beautiful beaded bracelet using a variety of beading techniques. Together we’ll explore traditional stringing methods, including how to knot between beads, as well as wire-wrapping techniques to connect beads together for a custom design.
