We were thrilled to host the release party for the new children’s book Together We Grow: A Story of Food, Support, and Community at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. Written by Floyd Stokes and illustrated by Sheena Hisiro, the book highlights the importance of food access resources like pantries and community gardens. Families enjoyed snacks, crafts, and a cozy campfire as we celebrated this meaningful story that teaches kids how communities can grow healthier together.
At GoggleWorks, we love partnering with organizations that share our commitment to community engagement and education. The book not only reduces the stigma around food access resources but also encourages families to improve their health through gardening. We were excited to see children connect with the story.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Penn State Health and Rite Aid Healthy Futures for making this event possible, and to Floyd Stokes and Sheena Hisiro for their creative collaboration. It was fantastic to see the story shared on WFMZ, and we look forward to supporting more initiatives that empower our community through art and education!
