GoggleWorks Launches First-Ever PrintFest

A Bold, Hands-On Celebration of Printmaking with a Live SteamRoller event!

GoggleWorks Center for the Arts is thrilled to announce the inaugural PrintFest, a brand-new creative event celebrating the vibrant and versatile world of printmaking. Join us Sunday, June 29th from 11AM to 3PM for an unforgettable, family-friendly experience full of ink, imagination, and interactive artmaking.

“I’m so inspired by the printmakers at GoggleWorks, and many of the ideas for this event came from that community,” said Natalie Fenner, Signature Events Manager. “We hope PrintFest is going to be the next staple in our roster of Signature Events at GoggleWorks. We can’t wait to share in the excitement with artists and guests!”

As part of GoggleWorks’ 20th Anniversary celebration, this one-of-a-kind event invites the community to get their hands inky with printmaking activities for all ages, live demos from accomplished artists, and giant steamroller prints that are larger than life.

“Fisher’s Rental is proud to support Goggleworks Printfest 2025 with the donation of a ride-on roller to assist with the main interactive printing activity of steamroller-style printmaking, a very exciting exhibit!” said Ross Fisher, General Manager of Fisher’s Rentals. “At Fisher’s Rental, we are always looking for ways to give back to our local community, so we are thrilled to be a small part of such a fun event. We hope to help make Printfest a huge success for years to come!”

Highlights Include:

• Interactive printmaking stations for all ages
• Live demos from professional artists
• Free and paid kids activities
• Creative vibes, community connection, and non-stop fun
  And of course…
• Steamroller printing – yes, we’re printing giant works of art with actual construction equipment!

Featured Artists:

As a centerpiece of the event, five featured artists will carve an original 3-foot by 3-foot woodblock that will be printed live using a full-size steamroller. Visitors can watch as these bold, oversized prints come to life before their eyes.

• Suzanne Fellows – known for her experimental print techniques using recycled materials like Tetra Paks
• Miles DeCoster – contemporary printmaker exploring form, texture, and contrast through woodcut and linocut
• Joey Strain – illustrator and block printer bringing handmade, whimsical charm and creepy-cute characters to life
• Colin Pezzano – South Philly-based artist blending digital tools and traditional print processes with humor and nostalgia
• Michael L. Miller – longtime educator and community art leader, championing collaborative public art in the Greater Reading area
