Kirtan is a musical tradition rooted in Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of love and devotion. Blending mantra, rhythm, and ancient Indian spiritual traditions, the music creates a sound that can be meditative, joyful, and deeply moving.

Shubalananda Saraswati is an American sadhu who has been traveling and sharing kirtan since 1995. His distinctive approach brings a blues-rooted sound to the tradition, combining soulful vocals, mantra, rhythm, and masterful musicianship.

Whether you’re familiar with kirtan or hearing it for the first time, this concert offers a unique meeting of musical and spiritual traditions.
