Join GoggleWorks Center for the Arts for the opening reception of Sally Veach: Hubris and the Sublime, an immersive exhibition exploring humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
Through painting, installation, and sound, Sally Veach examines the tension between humanity’s enduring desire to control nature and the overwhelming power of the sublime. Drawing inspiration from Romantic landscapes, symbolic imagery, and 18th-century botanical illustrations, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on climate anxiety, environmental stewardship, and our place within the natural world.
Meet the artist, experience the exhibition firsthand, and enjoy an evening celebrating contemporary art and conversation with the community.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
The exhibition is on view August 15 through October 12 in the Cohen Gallery East at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts.
