The Summer Residency Program at GoggleWorks is a 10-week appointment designed to introduce new energy and interests into the GoggleWorks community with an emphasis on facilitating experimentation and cross-disciplinary projects. GoggleWorks will again be selecting three residents for summer 2022 and applicants can select a portfolio based application a place-making application, or new in 2022 a urban horticulture application as part of the new GoggleWorks Gardens. Residents should be self-motivated and enthusiastic, dedicated to their artwork, and enjoy working with other people in a community studio setting.
Selection of residents is highly competitive and based on strength of project proposal and/or quality of work and experience.
Residency Provides:
- Working space with 24/7 access (fully-funded)
- Access to GoggleWorks’ communal studios
- Shared, furnished housing conveniently located across the street and within walking distance to our campus (fully-funded)
- $2,500 stipend (for travel, living and material expenses)
- Additional paid opportunities to teach in GoggleWorks’ community arts programs
- Culminating exhibition or event
