MK Brownlow

MK Browlnow is a children’s book illustrator, educator, and author who spends her days bringing the imaginary characters in her mind to life, sometimes with her iPad and sometimes with colored pencil and watercolors. She has been drawing characters since childhood and believes creativity is one of the most powerful ways we make sense of ourselves and the world around us.
A Pennsylvania native and Penn State graduate, MK has spent years helping young artists discover their own creative voices while quietly nurturing the whimsical worlds that would soon be in the pages of her books. Most often working with independent authors and publishers, MK has written many picture books of her own that she hopes to see on bookshelves everywhere.
When she’s not drawing in her studio or teaching, she can be found walking the beach, collecting inspiration from nature, and jotting down ideas for the next character, patiently waiting in her imagination.
