Lee Shannon

Lee Shannon is a visual artist and sewist from Lancaster PA. He received a BFA from Kutztown University in 2015 with a concentration in drawing and now regularly shows his drawings and risograph prints throughout the southeast PA region and beyond. During the pandemic his sewing hobby blossomed into a full-blown obsession and he spends most of his spare time sewing clothes, bags, and costumes.

Lee passionately believes that art of any medium can be a powerful way to celebrate the human form, cultivate body-positivity, and embrace creative problem solving. He teaches a one-day intro to figure drawing designed for brand-new beginners, as well as a variety of beginner and intermediate sewing projects. He strives to create a classroom environment that embraces imperfection and encourages students to try new things.
