My work explores concepts like evolution, predator/prey relationships, and totemic imagery. Merging gourds, antler, bone, and horsehair with paper-clay, resin, and acrylics, I’ve been attempting to blend tribal aesthetics with a modern understanding of our place in the universe. I often reference elements of folk art and mythology, and enjoy the juxtaposition of bright patterns and ornamentation against raw materials and natural surface textures.
