Amy Stephen

Amy Stephen is an artist, muralist and arts educator from the Berks county area. She has nearly a decade of art teaching experience and has taught at community art centers, museums, schools and senior centers. She also offers classes and workshops at her private studio in Pottstown, PA. Besides teaching, Amy is a busy mural artist and has completed murals all over the greater Philadelphia area. She’s painted residential, commercial, and public murals and loves to use her experience to enrich public schools with hands-on community mural workshops and interactive playground painting. In her personal work, Amy’s current fixation is watercolor but she’s been trained as an oil painter and also has experience in printmaking, book making, mixed media, pastels and more.
Amy studied fine arts with a concentration in painting at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Later, she went to Tyler School of Art, Temple University where she received a BS in Art Education and was the recipient of the Jane D. Bonelli Art Education Award in 2022. Amy is also a certified therapeutic arts coach and strives to teach in an inclusive and trauma informed way to make sure all her students feel safe and seen so they can learn to express themselves through art.
