GoggleWorks is turning up the heat for its Iron Pour Festival, an electrifying evening of fire, metal, and artistry on Saturday, April 26th, from 3 PM to 9 PM. This free-admission, rain-or-shine event promises a thrilling experience for adults and young creatives alike, featuring live demonstrations, food, music, and of course, molten metal reaching 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
As part of GoggleWorks’ 20th anniversary celebration, this year’s Iron Pour Festival will be bigger and bolder than ever. At the heart of the event, Pour Master Brian Glaze will lead the charge, overseeing the pouring of 2,000 pounds of molten iron—a spectacle of heat, precision, and artistry that you won’t want to miss.
“An event like the Iron Pour Festival has such wide appeal, and shows that art is for everyone – even those who don’t think of themselves as ‘artsy.’ It’s simply the creation of something new that didn’t exist before. The fact that our entire community can join in to witness this molten metal creation right in our downtown is such a cool concept and one that Tompkins is proud to help bring to life,” said Ginger Kunkel, President – PA, Tompkins Community Bank. The Iron Pour Festival is proudly sponsored by Tompkins Community Bank, whose support helps bring this unforgettable experience to life.
This year’s festival will also showcase GoggleWorks’ newly renovated courtyard, providing a dynamic and immersive space for guests to gather, experience live performances, and enjoy the fiery excitement of the event.
Designed to bring a unique and captivating art form to the community, the Iron Pour Festival offers an opportunity to experience the raw power of metal casting up close. This event is for the art enthusiast, a curious newcomer, or someone simply looking for a fun and unforgettable night out. “I’m really excited to see this year’s Pour take shape in a new location! This event is a really fun, one-of-a-kind experience that I’m so thrilled to share with the community!” said Natalie Fenner, Signature Events Manager at GoggleWorks.
