The Art of Jazz

Berks Arts Council will be presenting the 13th annual Frank Scott Memorial Art Show: The Art of Jazz. The exhibit is a juried exhibition with the theme Celebrate Jazz. The exhibition is sponsored by the Jerlyn Foundation in honor of Frank Scott.

Serving as prize juror for the 2017 exhibit is internationally known saxophonist/composer and graphic artist Marion Meadows. Meadows is known for creating mixed media art comprised of his photography and graphic manipulation. His work is vibrant and expressive with a hint of nature’s social order along with a love for humanity. Meadows will perform Friday, March 31, with The New Urban Jazz Party during the 2017 Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest. Meadows’ artwork will be on display at DoubleTree by Hilton Reading throughout the fest.
