GoggleWorks is pleased to present a solo show featuring the oil paintings of Svetlana Koval, winner of the 2019 GoggleWorks Open Juried Exhibition.

“My name is Svetlana Koval.  I was born in Russia, in the Siberian land near Lake Baikal, where I graduated from the local art school.  I’ve always painted.  After studying at the university, I began to participate in exhibitions and sales at local galleries.  I really liked to draw Lake Baikal.  Five years ago, my family and I moved to the USA.  We settled in a beautiful location, Lancaster County, where I have participated in many exhibitions.  At the moment I am studying at HACC, trying to learn more English.  In my works I want to convey the admiration that I feel when contemplating the world around me.  In some of my works, I add a deeper philosophical meaning, my reflections on life.  While painting, I am always learning; learning something new, experimenting in painting techniques.”
