GoggleWorks is pleased to announce an open call to all professional artists, age 18 and up, who design and produce their own work, to show in our 15th Annual Juried Exhibition of 2D artwork! Open to all 2D media such as drawings, paintings, prints, collage and photographs, this exhibition aims to curate a selection of exemplary two dimensional work from artists around the country. A digital catalog will be created by GoggleWorks Center for the Arts containing artists’ bios and images of work(s), together with the juror’s bio and statement.
Important Dates:
  • April 7, 2023 – All entries due by midnight
  • May 5, 2023 –  Acceptance/Rejection emails will be sent 
  • May 26, 2023 – Mailed work due at the gallery and Hand delivered work intake 10am – 6pm
  • June 2, 2023 – August 6, 2023 – Exhibition dates
  • August 7, 2023 – Hand delivered work pick up 10am – 6pm
  • Week of August 7th, 2023 – Artwork shipped back

Best in Show – $200

First Runner Up – $125

Second Runner Up – $75

GoggleWorks staff will additionally award an exhibition award to an artist who aligns with our mission of transforming lives through unique interactions with art. The winning artist will be invited to exhibit in our Schmidt Gallery at an agreed upon date. A $200 stipend will be available to this artist at time of contract signing.

Eligibility:

Open to all professional artist, ages 18 and up, who design and produce their own work. Work must have been created within the last three years and may not have been previously shown at GoggleWorks Center for
the Arts. All work MUST BE FOR SALE.

Juror: Mark Mahosky

Mark Mahosky received his MFA from Stanford University (1988) and his BFA from Tyler School of Art (1986). In Summer 2015, Mahosky was a National Park Service Artist-in-Residence at the Gettysburg National Military Park. He has had solo exhibitions at Haas Gallery of Art, Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA; Alysia Duckler Gallery, Portland, OR; Fleisher/Ollman, Philadelphia, PA; Joseph Rickards Gallery, New York; and Gimpel Weitzenhoffer Gallery, New York. Mahosky has been featured in group exhibitions at Fleisher/Ollman; the Ice Box, Philadelphia; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Allentown Art Museum, Allentown, PA; Open Space, Baltimore, MD; and Gettysburg College Art Gallery, Gettysburg, PA, among others. He is Professor of Painting at Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA.
