Meet The Staff: Summer Theatre Camp! 🎭

Every great summer show starts with the people in the room.

This year feels especially exciting because for the very first time, we’re offering Summer Theatre Camp at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts and we cannot wait to see these young performers take the stage. Registration is officially open, and we’re ready to welcome a brand new cast of campers into the spotlight.

Our camp isn’t just about learning lines or hitting your mark. It’s about finding your voice, trying something new, laughing through rehearsal games, and realizing you’re braver than you thought. As campers dive into the world of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr., they’ll be guided by a creative team that truly loves the stage and the young performers stepping onto it.

This summer’s staff brings decades of experience, from Broadway credits to community theatre right here in Berks County. More importantly, they bring heart, patience, and a genuine excitement for helping kids grow in confidence and creativity.

Before we raise the curtain on our very first season, take a moment to meet the talented artists who will be directing, teaching, choreographing, and cheering your campers on every step of the way.

Kevin Cooper

Music Director

Kevin Cooper

Kevin began his love affair with musical theater at a very early age. His father, Robert J. Cooper, was a Broadway aficionado, and this constant exposure to the genre steered Kevin into a lifelong relationship with the stage. Kevin has been involved with innumerable productions in various venues and helps lead the Senior Choir, and plays keyboard in the Worship Team at Park Road Presbyterian Church. He sends out love and gratitude to his wife Ellen and the rest of his supportive and steadfast family. Kevin fervently desires continuation and expansion of the lively arts in Berks and beyond.
