GoggleWorks thanks and reflects on the work of long time Maintenance Director Tim Lash, who retires after 15 years.

It’s no understatement to say that the walls could have fallen down with out his help. Long time Maintenance Director Tim Lash, is marking the end of his tenure at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts as he turns his attention toward retirement. Tim has spent the last 15 years, diligently keeping the old goggle factory in working order. Built in 1871 to prepare lenses for safety goggles, an extensive renovation in 2005 transformed the factory into one of the largest an art centers in the country. Tim was the original head of maintenance and has maintained the massive space over the years. From Artists’ crazy concepts, to necessary renovations, to everyday upkeep, Tim has done it all with an eye toward safety and customer service.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the community was unable to share their thanks in the normal fashion, so on December 11th, 2020 a socially distanced drive in event was organized to show their gratitude. Complete with masks, horn honks and responsibly prepared party favors, the community celebrated Tim’s success, hard work, and dedication to all.

The following video was compiled from community members to share their thanks.
