Much of Rigo Peralta’s work represents the complicated relationship between humanity and the machinery it wields. Likewise, his textures and brushstrokes often mirror this push and pull, interlocking human anatomy with the cogs and wheels of machines. Peralta draws upon his Latino heritage for a rich palette that provides a panorama of compositions blur the line between classic and abstract forms.

This artistic approach is unpredictable and gives Peralta the opportunity to find hidden anatomical forms, as if a ghost was rising from nothing on the canvas. By combining the mechanical forms as part of this organic transition, the final product is defined as conditional surrealism. That is, an awakening of the subconscious as it invites you to explore a series of hidden elements on the canvas that can uncover a Pandora’s Box to the spectators.
