The Albert and Eunice Boscov Theatre is thrilled to welcome back our friends from Reading Theater Project for our second annual Play Reading Series, hosted at GoggleWorks
This year the theme is SHADOWS FROM THE PAST, and we’re honored to have the following plays be featured on our stage:
Thursday, April 13 – ESSENTIAL READING FOR THIS MOMENT IN HISTORY by Bruce Walsh
Eddie, an overworked adjunct professor/barista, mentors young working-class men, teaching them to rationally untangle the riddles of their ingrained misogyny. But, as a Tiresias-like aging colleague points out, he is woefully blind to the chaos of sadness and disappointment at the root of his students’ lives – and his own. When Eddie’s newborn son refuses to sleep, his dreams and waking life begin to blur, and his repressed grievances become grand literary ambitions.
All performances are at 7pm and will be followed by a discussion with the playwright.
