Automatic Figurations

For many years, artist N Sarangoulis has focused on creating art through Automatism, a drawing process guided by the unconscious mind. Sarangoulis strives to remain open and receptive to information that emerges from the psyche, which might otherwise be repressed. Forms, symbols, or specific images surface and serve as starting points for drawings and paintings. After the initial process of automatic drawing, Sarangoulis completes each composition by employing intuitive processes.
