Creation, making things, keeps me sane. Glass’ versatility; strong, flexible, breakable, pliable, beautiful, frustrating; reminds me of myself, it reminds me about my relationships and the attributes I see in others. I often cross pollinate the processes of glass, drawing from experiences in the glass blowing studio to elicit a sense of movement and exploration in in my fused work, and vice versa. Playing with color application and depth, to highlight glass’ natural ability to transmit and transmute light, allows for authenticity. I’d like to remind people to speak their truth, follow their own path, it is yours to relish.
