I am an artist. I paint primarily with oils. I believe there is an inherent oneness in all things and that it is necessary to live in harmony with the natural world. In my Figurescape paintings, I expose this relationship by fusing the human body with landscape while repeating contours rhythmically to create a congruent whole. I imbue the figures with emotion using the attitude of their pose and a palette that gives greater power to the work. I also revel in the pursuit of capturing figures in motion. To that end, I incessantly draw and paint dancers and musicians in real time whenever I can. I hold a BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. I am a member of the National Association of Women Artists, Visual Arts in Chautauqua and Gallery Director of GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Reading, PA.
