Lady Strongman is a performance artist and theatre practitioner. Originally from Reading, he studied Theatre and English at Muhlenberg College, and received his MFA in Performance from Arizona State University. In 2010 he was awarded the prestigious Grace Le Vine Theatre Honor from the Princess Grace Foundation. In addition to performing, writing, and directing, Lady has worked with youth in schools, recreational centers, and juvenile detention centers to use theatre as a tool to develop social-emotional learning skills. With a focus on devising new works, community-based theatre, and the avant-garde, Lady’s work explores non-traditional storytelling to enhance the performer-audience relationship, and he aims to transform lives through unique interactions with theatre.
