Native of the Lehigh Valley, Benjamin DeMott is an artist, educator, and Ceramics Manager at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts.  He received his BFA from Tyler School of Art at Temple University, and his MFA from The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred Unversity. Most recently he has served as an Assistant Professor at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and previously taught at Illinois State University Normal, and Alfred University. His work is exhibited widely including the Virginia Mclure Ceramic Biennial in Montreal, Institute of Visual Arts in Milwaukee, Denver Art Museum, Jane Hartsook and Meulensteen Galleries in New York City. DeMott’s work has been featured in publications Ceramics Now and Art Forum. He lives and maintains a studio in Lenhartsville PA.
