Learn the basics of woodworking in a safe and structured environment. This course focuses on the safe use of power tools, such as the table saw, jointer, planer, bandsaw, hollow-chisel mortiser, and routers. Students will learn the properties of wood, how to mill a piece of wood four-square, the basics of joinery, and then make a laminated end grain cutting board using the milling and joinery skills learned in the class.

Note: Class will not be held Jan. 27.

Closed-toed shoes are required.
