A tessellation is an arrangement of shapes closely fitted together, in a repeated pattern. These designs are used for wall and floor tiles, packaging, wall paper, fashion, and other fabric designs. You’ll learn how to create and assemble them to make a print that can be repeated over a large area. Start with a design, then carve, and print from a square linoleum tile. By assembling multiple printed paper images, a larger 2D complex image can be created. This type of ink cleans up easily and dries quickly allowing you to walk out of this class with a completed project.
