Explore great short stories and write your own! Here, we’ll look at five important elements that make great short stories great: Point of View, Dialogue, Setting, Exposition, and Character. In studying the exemplary short stories of diverse authors, we’ll find inspiration while reading, discussing, workshopping, and writing our own. This is a student-centric course that supports student creativity, so we’ll spend a lot of time exploring character sketches, story ideas, and original plots. All levels of writing are welcome.
